In our day, people are connecting to others in countless ways. Email, voicemail, text messages, Facebook, Twitter, iPhones, Blackberries, websites, cell phones, laptops, and a myriad of other gadgets all contribute to our interconnected world. Yet it seems that as people have gotten connected to more people and more things we have become disconnected to some of the things that matter most in life. Many people have unintentionally disconnected from the eternal, the Spiritual, the divine, and the transcendent. In this world of immediacy and fad many people crave a connection to that which lasts. In this world of image many people crave a connection with substance. In this world of 2-minute sound bites and 160 character limits many people are searching for something more.
The Vine Church is an intentional church plant of the United Methodist Church designed to connect you and your family to the One who is eternal, immortal, invisible. Jesus Christ said, I am the Vine, you are the branches. Abide in me and bear much fruit...”
In just the few months that we initiated The Vine Launch Team, my wife, Margaret, and I have found it to be a great place for our family to make connections for eternity. The Vine is committed to offering a relevant and contemporary setting for worship, upbeat music, Christian discipleship for children and adults, life changing opportunities to serve, and fellowship for followers of Christ and those exploring a connection with the Vine.
