Acts 6:1-7. People today are under a lot of pressure. Many feel the financial pressure of our current economic downturn. Families feel the scheduling pressure of work, kids’ activities, and social expectations. Everyone feels the pressure of keeping up with other people’s expectations. The New Testament Book of Acts has a lot to teach about dealing with the pressure of life. The early Christians faced financial and family pressures, but they also faced significant pressure to give up their faith and conform to other people’s expectations. In this series on Acts Chapters 6-11 the Vine is going to study how the early Christians responded to the pressures of life and learn how they became overcomers.
