Cherrah is a proud citizen from the Muscogee (Creek) and Cherokee Nations from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and she belongs to the Fuswvlke (Bird Clan) and Re Kackv (Broken Arrow) Tribal Town. In 2020, she made the big move to Virginia to be closer to her in-laws and now calls Vienna home with her husband, Justin, and their lovely daughter, Tafv. Cherrah also has three wonderful adult children—E’tya, Russell, and Ridge—who are still living in Oklahoma.
Growing up in a Baptist household, Cherrah was actively involved in All Tribes Community Church, where she served as the Cultural Elder. In 2021, she began attending The Vine Church and has had a blast contributing by taking on fun roles, such as pretending to be a DJ in the tech booth, learning to craft fancy coffee drinks, and sharpening her cooking skills with the hospitality team. She officially became a member of The Vine Church in 2024!
Cherrah holds both her bachelor & and master’s degrees from the University of Oklahoma and has over 20 years of diverse experience as a social worker, college adjunct instructor, and Tribal legislator. In her free time, she enjoys visiting her family back in Oklahoma, including her adorable grand pets, Star, Bingus, and Keanu.
