Rev. Dr. Katie Phillips

LEAD PASTOR

REV. DR. KATIE CARSON PHILLIPS

Pastor Katie has worked in ministry for over 20 years – both as church staff and as clergy in 5 different church settings in Virginia & Georgia. Her passion is connecting people to God through authentic relationship and the powerful witness of God’s grace. A native of Warrenton, VA – Katie earned her undergraduate degree in English & history from Boston University, and her M.Div. and Doctor of Ministry from Wesley Theological Seminary. An educator at heart, Katie’s career has focused on creative ways to help others grow as a disciples — as well as build connections in the church and throughout the community.

In her free time, Katie has performed professional improv comedy with Improv Boston and Washington Improv Theater (WIT) – allowing her to travel and perform at national comedy festivals, film for television, and develop a love of laughter. She still keeps her toe in the improv waters in DC from time-to-time – and thinks laughter and storytelling are key to God’s story! (To learn more about her comedy and consulting work, click HERE.)

Katie has three daughters: Olive, Edie, & Kit – and a great husband, Kevin. They live with their two dogs (Solomon & Penny) in Fairfax City, VA.
