Trail Mix: Worship on the Move

Trail Mix is a worship service that invites us out of the church building and onto the W&OD Trail to encounter God in creation.
We begin at Vine Church with welcome, stretching, scripture, and a centering thought before walking over to the trail together. Like a pilgrimage, this time of walking or running becomes an opportunity for fellowship, reflection, and openness to the surprises of the Holy Spirit in the wildness of nature.
Along the way, you may pause for prayer, silence, or shared reflection—but much of the worship happens simply by paying attention—listening to the rhythm of our steps, noticing what we see and hear around us, and allowing the landscape to speak into our lives and prayers. Some will walk, some will jog, some will run—everyone moves at their own pace, but we share the journey as one community of faith. When we return to Vine Church, we’ll offer trail mix (or energy/granola bars) as a way to share a meal together in a simple and joyful way—a reminder that Christ meets us in the midst of our journeys, nourishing us with grace for the road ahead.
Trail Mix: Worship on the Move is for anyone—those rooted in church life, those exploring faith in fresh ways, and those simply seeking to connect with God outdoors. Come expecting to move, breathe, pray, and be surprised by the presence of God in creation.
